First panel: Populists, our Saviours?

Main speaker: Dr. Daniel Pipes a historian, Islamic scholar, founder and president of the Middle East Forum. He is named in the 100 most influential living Harvard Graduates and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He has taught at Harvard, Pepperdine, the U.S. Naval War College, and the University of Chicago. He has served in five presidential administrations between 1982 and 2005, including two presidentially-appointed positions.

Dr. Pipes will address the rise of Western Civilizationalists (“Populists”). Should we fear Populists as far-Right “xenophobes?” or are they a healthy response to what he calls the continent’s DIMI (demographics, immigration, multiculturalism, and Islamization) problems?

Second panel: Has Wokeism Gone Too Far?

Main speaker: Laurie Cardoza-Moore the founder of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations (PJTN), a global voice on the frontlines for the ideological, social, moral and religious mind of this generation. PJTN’s accomplishments include two Emmy/Telly Award winning documentaries, “The Forgotten People,” and “Israel Indivisible.” She has served as Special Envoy to the United Nations, and was listed by the Algemeiner as one of the “Top 100 People Positively Impacting Israel”.

Laurie Cardoza-Moore will address the permeation of Wokeism into every sector of Western society, particularly the school system. She will also discuss the scourge of antisemitism and how it is undermined by Woke activists.

Featured Speakers:

Dr. Robert O. Freedman Graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. degree in Diplomatic History and from Columbia University with M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in International Relations. He has been an Assistant Professor of Russian History at the United States Military Academy, Associate Professor of Political Science and Russian at Marquette University, and Professor of Political Science at Baltimore Hebrew University, including a tenure as President of the institution. Currently, he is a Visiting Professor at Johns Hopkins University.

Shoshana Bryen, Senior Director of the Jewish Policy Center and a leading specialist in U.S. defense policy and Middle East affairs. She is the former Executive Director and Senior Director for Security Policy at the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs and the author of the widely republished JINSA Reports. She has worked with the Strategic Studies Institute of the U.S. Army War College and the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv and lectured at the National Defense University in Washington.

Dr. Mitchell Bard Executive Director of the nonprofit American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise (AICE) and a foreign policy analyst who frequently lectures on U.S.-Middle East policy. Dr. Bard is also the director of the Jewish Virtual Library, the world’s most comprehensive online encyclopedia of Jewish history and culture. His work has been published in academic journals, magazines, and major newspapers. Dr. Bard holds a Ph.D. in political science from UCLA and a master’s degree in public policy from Berkeley.

SSI at FAU attends JNF-USA event with former Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, Elan Carr, at Palm Beach Synagogue.

Members of Students Supporting Israel – SSI at Florida Atlantic Univeristy attended an amazing event at the Palm Beach Synagogue, hosted by Jewish National Fund – USA featuring the former Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism and a great friend of SSI Elan Carr.
