A Meaningful Step Will Advance
Judea and Samaria
The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday set the boundaries of three new communities in Judea, marking the first step in the legalization under Israeli law of nine communities that received official government approval earlier this year.
Two of the new towns, Avigayil and Asael, are located in the South Hebron Hills, while the third, Beit Hogla, is part of the Megilot Regional Council near the Dead Sea.
Yesha Council Chairman and Gush Etzion Regional Council head Shlomo Neeman hailed the move as a “meaningful step” that will advance communities in Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley.
This is the type of productive news we like to hear about. Regulation – Independence – Building new communities. Next step – Sovereignty!
Regain Full Control:
Dagan Pressures Gov’t
The head of the Samaria Council, Yossi Dagan, spoke with Israel National News about the continued attempts of the Palestinian Authority to destroy the biblical altar of Joshua in Samaria. He called on the Prime Minister to take responsibility for preserving the heritage and archaeological roots of the Jewish people.
“Our eyes are not closed at all. We are all aware of the damage that the Palestinian Authority tries to do time and time again to the site on Mt. Ebal. The Palestinian Authority is systematically trying to destroy the heritage sites of the Jewish people, including in Judea and Samaria.”
The Druze Land Grab:
We Are Building Hilltops
Druze activists are emulating their Jewish counterparts in Judea and Samaria (YESH) with the establishment of outposts on state land in northern Israel.
The blatantly illegal outposts are being set up in Carmel and the Galilee by Druze activists wearing bright yellow tee shirts proclaiming “Ad Kan.” It is ironic to note that there is also an Israeli NGO called “Ad Kan” that was started in 2015 by Israeli security personnel to defend Israel’s Zionist character from internal and external anti-Israel forces.
This is but another form of an illegal land grab. We await the government’s response, which we trust will be swift.

On this, the 30th anniversary of the Declaration of Principles signed on the White House Lawn, the highly esteemed scholar Daniel Pipes will talk about the colossal failure of the Oslo Accords, and what Israel finally needs to redeem its place among the nations. During this webinar, Daniel will also discuss his new book on “Israeli Victory” which is about to be released. Can Israel redeem itself from all the years of appeasement to the Palestinian Authority? Has it created a dynamic in which Israel appears to be the “guilty party”, despite the fact that Israeli interlocutors have made successive generous offers to the Palestinians, that they have consistently rejected? What is the prescription that Dr. Pipes recommends for Israeli survival amid all of the existential threats it is now facing from Iran, and from the various Iranian and Qatari-backed factions from within the territories?

About the Speaker: Daniel Pipes is the President of the Middle East Forum. He is a historian, has and has led the Middle East Forum since its founding in 1994. He taught at Chicago, Harvard, Pepperdine, and the U.S. Naval War College. He served in five U.S. administrations, received two presidential appointments, and testified before many congressional committees. The author of 16 books on the Middle East, Islam, and other topics, Mr. Pipes writes a column for the Washington Times and the Spectator; his work has been translated into 39 languages. DanielPipes.org contains an archive of his writings and media appearances; he tweets at @DanielPipes. He received both his A.B. and Ph.D. from Harvard. The Washington Post deems him “perhaps the most prominent U.S. scholar on radical Islam.” Al-Qaeda invited Mr. Pipes to convert and Edward Said called him an “Orientalist.”
