Diplomacy Classroom:
Holocaust Survivors’ Legacies and Preserving the Past
Tuesday, January 25, 2022
1:00 PM – 1:45 PM EST
Germain will discuss U.S. foreign policy and the Holocaust as both a universal lesson and how it has served for many as motivation to make a career in public service. Duyck will introduce one of the museum’s artifacts and the story of Robert Neumann – Holocaust survivor and future U.S. ambassador. The program will launch a series on the Special Envoy for Holocaust Issue’s social media channels featuring current U.S. diplomats like U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken who are descendants or family members of Holocaust survivors.
Diplomacy Classroom is a monthly virtual event presented by the National Museum of American Diplomacy where we explore diplomacy through a historical event, person, or contemporary global issue.
