Operation in Northern Samaria

Over the last few weeks there has been an increase in attacks coming from northern Samaria and attempts to shoot rockets into Israeli cities.  We at the IDSF have therefore been pushing for a larger military operation, especially in the Jenin region, to destroy the terror infrastructure. Today there are more than 30 different armed groups carrying out these attacks. They have improved their improvised explosive devices and they are trying to build rockets.

The ongoing operations that the IDF has conducted in this region over the past year and a half have been successful.  But they have not been enough to stop the buildup of these forces.  There is also a large effort by Iran to finance this buildup and support the smuggling of weapons from Jordan.  It is getting worse by the day.

The Palestinian Authority has no control of this area and the IDF and Shin Bet are needed to restore stability.

Members of the IDSF have conducted many recent interviews on this issue, and you can read more about what needs to be done here.

Thank you for standing with Israel,

Brigadier General (res.) Amir Avivi
